In this day and age, let's face it, we are all about technology. Even the children! All children have their favorites shows, music, apps, and games...mine included. Our older boys love their PS3, our daughter loves her Wii U and our twins love their tv shows, especially Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
The hardest thing though is when we as parents are trying to concentrate on something such as paperwork, schoolwork in my husbands case as he attends online school, or even conversations, and we can't because one of the children have the music too loud or the movie is breaking our concentration. By allowing our children to have headphones, it makes things much quieter, but it's so hard to find a really good pair that not only fit our children, but can also hold up to being dropped, thrown or in some cases, even stepped on.
I recently had the opportunity to review a set of headphones made specifically for children ages 2 and up.
Kidz Gear has these amazing Kidz Control Volume Limit Color Headphones. They come in 5 different colors which is sure to please any child.
Kidz Gear - #1 selling brand of Headphones for Kids. Kidz Gear has been focused since 2002 on developing products that are made with, function like and last as long as adult products but are specifically designed with children in mind.
Being a family that is all about the Zombie Apocalypse, our children wanted Green.
The Kidz Gear headphones have very soft, child sized padded ear-cups and are fully adjustable to fit the smallest child to the oldest and they are light-weight, which makes them perfect for any child.
Here is our 6 year old Nikolaus trying them out.
Our 10 year old Cody having his turn...
Aeric, one of our 3 year old twins couldn't wait for his turn.
and now for Tyrsson, the oldest twin :)
Our daughter was too busy sleeping to join in on the fun and get her picture taken.
As you can see, my children are having a blast using the Kidz Gear headphones. Never once did any of them complain about them being uncomfortable, too heavy or too loud.
This is the Volume Limiter that also comes with the Kidz Gear headphones. Once plugged in, it softens any sound that comes through the headphones and makes it so much easier on the ears. We didn't use this with the older kids, but we did with the twins. They still enjoyed great quality sound, just at a softer level for their little ears. I love this item and am so glad that a company understands the importance of protecting our children's hearing. Thank you Kidz Gear!
We also received an Audio Splitter Cable so that more than one headphone or set could be hooked up at the same time to the device. In our case, we had it hooked up to my laptop so my husband could connect his earbuds with the kids.
Here is where the Audio Splitter Cable came into play. My husband Chris was enjoying the music with Aeric.
Sorry the pictures are blurry for this one as Aeric couldn't stop dancing...lol
As you can see, the kids and hubby had so much fun trying our the Kidz Gear headphones. They work so well and can really stand up to the test of very active children. Now they can listen to what they need to without me having to worry about whether its too loud.
Done with them for the day...no need to worry as Kidz Gear has that covered too. You even receive a handy, nicely padded carrying bag for all of your gear.
My children greatly enjoyed being able to review Kidz Gear headphones and now each of them want a pair of their very own. Which is just fine, as you can purchase this awesome set of headphones for only $19.99. Not only are you getting a high quality item, but you are getting it for a great price.
