Veteran's Day 2014 Freebies and Deals

Veterans Day is on Tuesday, November 11!!! 


In honor of those who have served and continue to serve in our Military, plenty of companies are offering freebies and deals. To qualify, you must show proof of Military Service which can include VA Universal Access Card, Military I.D., DD-214 (Discharge Papers), Veterans Service Organization Card (VSO's include groups like the VFW, DAV, AmVets, MOAA, FRA, and the American Legion), or in some cases businesses will accept a picture of the veteran in uniform.

Make sure to call ahead at your local store or restaurant to make sure they are participating. 

Applebees: Free meal for all active and retired military and Veterans . Proof of service is required in the form of a Service Retired I.D. Card or other such proof. For a restaurant near you go to www.applebees.com.

Bob Evans - Veterans and active military personnel receive free all-you-can-eat hotcakes on Tuesday, November 11.

Bed Bath & Beyond: November 9, 10 & 11th, 20% off your entire purchase. In-store only. Msut show US Military ID at purchase.

Big Lots:  10% off your entire purchase. Offer available to active duty, Guard/Reserve, Veterans, retirees and their immediate family members, with valid ID. Offer valid at participating locations.

Chili's: Free entree to Veterans and active duty military from 11am -5pm.

Denny's: Active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam on Tuesday, November 11, from 5 a.m. to noon at participating locations.

Dollar General: 10% discount on entire purchase on Veterans Day - offer good for all active-duty military, retirees, Veterans , Guard/Reserve, & immediate family members. The coupon can be found in the store circular, or by asking an employee. Also good online, use Coupon Code VETERANSDAY

East Coast Wings & Grill: Veterans get a free appetizer or free dessert on Tuesday, November 11.  Minimum purchase of $10 is required.

Food Lion: 12% off all groceries for Active & Retired Military Personnel with military ID and MVP card. Some exclusions may apply.

Free Car wash. Thousands of car washes around the country are offering Veterans a Free car wash on November 11th. Find a list ~HERE~

Golden Corral :  Golden Corral Restaurants' Military Appreciation Monday free dinner will be available on Monday, November 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Military retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard and Reserves are all welcome.

Great Clips: On Monday, Nov. 11, customers who come in for a service can get a Free haircut card to give to their favorite veteran. Veterans can also receive a Free haircut or get the Free haircut card. Haircut Cards are redeemable until Dec. 31.

Home Depot Military Discount:  Home Depot is extending its daily 10% active-duty military discount to Veterans and their immediate family for purchases up to $2000.  Must show a valid military ID or proof of service. You can also find Home Depot discounts online.

Hooters: 10 FREE Hot wings to military Veterans and active-duty personnel on Veterans Day with valid military ID or proof of service. Offer valid at participating locations. Drink purchase required. 

IHOP: On November 11, participating IHOP Restaurants offer Veterans and active duty military free Red, White and Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

JCPenny: Veterans, active duty and family members receive an extra 20% off in stores Nov. 6-11 with coupon.

Krispy Kreme: Free doughnut and small coffee. Available only at participating Krispy Kreme stores. Offer available to all active-duty, retirees & Veterans on. Call ahead to verify your local Krispy Kreme is participating. 

Krystal: On November 11, Krystal is offering Veterans and active-military with proof of a military ID a FREE sausage biscuit.  Offer valid at participating restaurants.

Little Caesars Pizza: US Military and Vets get a Free order of Crazy Bread, with proof of military status/service. Call your local Little Caesars ahead to check for participation.

Lone Star Steakhouse: All Veterans and active duty military will receive a Free entrée from the Stars & Stripes Menu. ID required.

LongHorn Steakhouse: Complimentary Texas Tonion and non-alcoholic beverage for Veterans and active-duty military members. 

Lowe's: Lowe's is extending its daily 10% active-duty military discount to Veterans and their immediate family for purchases up to $5000. Must show a valid military ID or proof of service.

Menchie's FREE Frozen Yogurt: On Veterans Day, Veterans and active duty personnel get a Free 6 oz. frozen yogurt. Show a valid ID or be in uniform to receive.

National Parks: National Parks will offer fee-Free days to ALL visitors at more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees. Visit one of your national parks on Veterans Day, and you won't be charged an entrance fee.

Outback Steakhouse: As an expression of Outback Steakhouse's appreciation to our Country's Veterans and active duty military*, a Free Bloomin' Onion and Coca Cola will be available to them at every Outback in the country. 

Red Lobster: Free Appetizer on Veterans Day with military ID or proof of service. Vets may choose from a select list of appetizers. 

Red Robin: Free Red's Tavern Double and Bottomless Steak Fries for all Red Robin guests with a military ID or proof of service. Red Robin is also partnering with Heinz for Veterans Day to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Red Robin will also donate $10,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project. 

Ruby Tuesday: Veterans, active duty and reserve service members get a free appetizer on November 11.

Shoney's:  Free All-American Burger to all Veterans and Active Duty Military Members on Veterans Day.

Subway:  Free Six Inch Sub - Select Subway locations offer a Free six inch sub to military Veterans on Veteran's Day. Please call ahead to see if a Subway franchise near you is participating.

Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch. Offer varies by location; our local Texas Roadhouse is offering a FREE meal from opening until 4pm. Other locations may vary in offer, hours, or availability.

T.G.I. Friday's - Free Lunch: Valid for all US Military personnel and Veterans . Must wear uniform (if permitted by your service) or present military ID or other proof of service. Only valid at participating locations for anyone with an old or current military ID. 

The Olive Garden - Free entrée: Offer good for Veterans and active duty military, during regular business hours. Chose from a special menu; all entrées include freshly baked garlic sticks and choice of soup or salad. Offer good in US and Canada, proof of service required. 

Travel Centers of America Free Meal: On Veterans Day, all CDL drivers who are Military Veterans eat Free at participating full-service restaurants with proof of service. Must present valid ID.

54th Street Grill -- Veterans and active duty military get a free meal (up to $12) on Tuesday, November 11.

Max & Erma's – On Tuesday, November 11, participating Max & Erma’s locations are offering veterans and active military personnel a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo meal.

McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants -- On Sunday, November 9, participating McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants will offer a complimentary entree to veterans from a special menu.

Starbucks -- Veterans, active duty service members and spouses get a free tall coffee on Tuesday, November 11 at participating locations.
