I've never been one for romance movies, except for the Twilight Saga as I'm a huge fan of that, but I figured this would be a good movie for my daughter and I to watch while all the guys were having game night, so I was pretty excited when my review copy arrived so that we could have mother/daughter time.
My Thoughts:
I was prepared to be bored while watching this teenage romance, but to my surprise, this was a wonderfully romantic story of 2 teenagers who defy all odds to be together as they are meant to be. Jade and David are both only 17 and fresh out of high school, Jade is the typical rich girl that everyone is afraid to talk to and David is poor and wants more than anything to be able to meet Jade. He finally gets his chance!
Jade's father disapproves of their relationship and is doing everything he can to stop it, which is a typical father move as most father's don't want anyone stealing their baby girl's heart. Despite her father's disapproval, Jade isn't going to let anything get between her and David and their love for each other. I'll admit, I was cheering them on as they make a cute couple and everyone deserves to be with the one they love.
My favorite part of the movie is when Alex, Jade's father finally comes to terms with Jade and David being together and accepts their relationship.
My daughter and I both loved this movie. We laughed and cried. The characters did an exceptional job and the story was very well written. I enjoyed it so much that we watched it again a few days later. If you love romance movies, then this one is for you.
