Are you always on the look out for great children's books and music? Well I have had the pleasure of reviewing a great audio book that has both a story and music - Pachas Pajamas.
I was surprised at how fun this audio book was. In fact I enjoyed it so much I finished it in just a few sittings! I just wished I had this when my kids were growing up. Even though I didn't know about it for my grandkids, nieces and nephews. I know they will enjoy it when they come to Grandma/Aunties house! This will definitely be a change for them from me sitting down and reading to them!
Pacha’s Pajamas is the first and only full-length Children’s Pop
Musical. Since it is nature-themed, we sometimes call it Eco-Pop. The
soundtrack showcases 55 artist including famous performers and young
talent of different generations and cultural backgrounds including
Yasiin Bey, Cheech Marin, Talib Kweli, Majora Carter, Gerald C. Rivers,
Ta’Kaiya Blaney and Lyrics Born.
The story centers on a little girl with big dreams. One night, the animals and plants on her new pajamas come alive. Entering her dream as a small gorilla, she comes upon an unlikely group of creatures feeling sad about the state of the world. Nature unites to tell its captivating story at a global festival where species have come together to bring balance to the planet. They build a stadium, half land, half water and powered by electric eels. Fun-filled acts include an insect band called The Beetles, a black-eyed pea rapping for a better world and a beaver named Just-in-Time. At the end of the show, Pacha shares an important message for all of nature and humanity.
The story leverages pop culture, music and humor to cultivate social conscience in a playful and inspiring manner. It addresses important topics — environmental sustainability, nature connection, and childhood health and planetary balance. It supports the development of creative expression, living an imagination inspired life and dreaming BIG. This first dream adventure of Pacha calls for kids to be superheros in their community as well as to reconnect with their own nature and Nature itself of which they are a part. The soundtrack has 8 story tracks and 7 songs. Each song has a message for kids and a call to action.
Pachas Pajamas conveys a great message of nature, acceptance caring and more to me.
