Devil's Due Bluray Review

We are huge movie fans and love all types of movies, by my favorite movies are horror, so you could only imagine my excitement when I found out Devil's Due was on it's way to me for a review. While the trailer didn't give away too much in details, it still peaked my interest because, well, it's a horror movie and the Devil Baby prank that everyone heard so much about really sparked a lot of interest in this movie. 

My Thoughts:

Of course, I had to had a movie night as soon as I received my copy of Devil's Due. First, it's filmed in first person, which is alright with me because I am used to that and see it more and more these days. 

In the beginning, I really thought it was going to be a really good movie especially considering it is a 20th Century Fox Film, but sad to say, this movie really disappointed me. The story was not all that good as it could have used a lot more details to explain the story itself so the viewer wasn't left in the dark about what was going on. The whole movie is about a newly married couple who find out they are expecting a baby a lot earlier than they had planned after returning from their honeymoon. Come to find out after the wife starts acting extremely weird and the husband goes back over the honeymoon videos, they are supposedly carrying the Anti-Christ after being part of a sacrifice. 

While I will admit that a few of the scenes were great, the whole movie lacked so much. I honestly felt like I was watching an extremely low budget movie. The dialogue was pretty much the same thing over and over throughout the entire movie with a few different things thrown in here and there. 

If you are one of those that followed the whole Devil Baby prank incidents gearing up for Devil's Due, sad to say, you never once even see the baby in the movie. We come to the scene where the baby is born and then the movie ends, without any warning or more details, which leaves me to believe their may be a Devil's Due part 2....

While I am not saying that the whole movie is a waste because it's not, it does have it moments that hold your attention wondering what is going to happen next, it just really disappointed me and I was hoping for more.  I have seen mixed emotions on this movie where some like it and some don't, it's all up to the individual person, but as for me and my husband, we didn't care too much for it. Maybe the more will come with a second movie...only time will tell.

The "Year of the Dragon" continues with "Dragons: Defenders of Berk Part 2" on DVD May 27th!

OMG, you would not have believed the response my twins gave me when they heard this set was coming out. They are huge fans of How to Train Your Dragon. Of course, we have the movie and all of the Riders of Berk and Defenders of Berk shows so far on DVD, so I know this one is a must buy for us too. We can wait until How to Train Your Dragon 2 hits theaters :)

Are you always on the look out for great children's books and music?  Well I have had the pleasure of reviewing a great audio book that has both a story and music - Pachas Pajamas.

I was surprised at how fun this audio book was.  In fact I enjoyed it so much I finished it in just a few sittings!  I just wished I had this when my kids were growing up. Even though I didn't know about it for my grandkids, nieces and nephews.  I know they will enjoy it when they come to Grandma/Aunties house! This will definitely be a change for them from me sitting down and reading to them!

Pacha’s Pajamas is the first and only full-length Children’s Pop Musical. Since it is nature-themed, we sometimes call it Eco-Pop. The soundtrack showcases 55 artist including famous performers and young talent of different generations and cultural backgrounds including Yasiin Bey, Cheech Marin, Talib Kweli, Majora Carter, Gerald C. Rivers, Ta’Kaiya Blaney and Lyrics Born.
The story centers on a little girl with big dreams. One night, the animals and plants on her new pajamas come alive. Entering her dream as a small gorilla, she comes upon an unlikely group of creatures feeling sad about the state of the world. Nature unites to tell its captivating story at a global festival where species have come together to bring balance to the planet. They build a stadium, half land, half water and powered by electric eels. How to Add & Sell a Pattern on Craftsy

In addition to wonderful online courses and craft supplies, Craftsy also has an independent online pattern store that lets anyone upload and sell downloadable e-patterns with no fee!

How do you add a pattern to Craftsy and start your pattern store? It’s easy!

1. Make sure you have a Paypal account. All pattern transactions happen through Paypal, and Craftsy requires that you have a Student, Premier, or Business account in order to sell patterns.

2. Put your pattern in .pdf format. You can’t upload any patterns to the online pattern store unless they’re a .pdf file format, so if they’re currently saved as a Word doc, .jpg, or other file format, you must convert it to a .pdf before you upload it to Craftsy.

3. Include a photo. All patterns must have at least one photo to accompany them, but you can add up to five photos. Colorful, interesting photos tend to work the best for catching our members’ eyes!

4. Fill out the pattern description. We will ask you some basic questions around your pattern making it easier for Craftsy folk to find your pattern and know what your pattern is for. Make sure you have info about your pattern handy for this step.

When you think of putting together a kit, of course, you think of necessities such as water, bandages, non-perishable foods, medicine, clothing, etc...but I recently had the opportunity to review a product that I couldn't wait to get my hands on when I first saw it because I knew it would be perfect for anyone's kit. 

Lightload Towels!!!

We had the opportunity to review a 3 pack of the 12x24" towels. I was really excited when we received ours and couldn't wait to see what they were all about and how they would work. 

They are all individually wrapped in waterproof packaging which makes it really great because you don't have to worry about how long you have them stored or switching them our for new product every so often. You can just store them in your kit, glove compartment, etc...and not worry about them until you need them. 

Lightload Towels are about the size of a 50 cent piece but much thicker. The compact size makes it easy for you to store them anywhere, which is great because when you are putting together a survival kit, size matters for everything because let's face it, there is only so much you can carry at one time. 

It takes a minute to figure out how to get the towel unfolded from this compact little disc, but once you get it, it's a breeze to finish opening up. Not only are these awesome for survival kits, but they are handy just to have in your car, beach bag or even your bathroom. You never know when you will need an emergency towel and Lightload Towels are perfect for any job.  

These reminded me of a mechanics towel at first because of the feeling of them when I first held it after unrolling, but to my amazement, they are extremely absorbent and actually quite soft when wet. They hold up very nicely too. I have already used mine several times and even washed and dried it. I'm not saying they would last forever, but they are perfect for any emergencies.

Very seldom do I find a product that exceeds my expectations to the point of being in love with the product after the first use, but that is exactly the case with the mask. I was so surprised at how smooth and creamy the Dead Sea Mask was. In the past, the masks I have used have caused my face to feel extremely tight, but I didn't have this issue with this mask. It was just an overall very refreshing feeling. It feels so good on my skin that I have actually used it twice this week already and I notice a huge difference in my skin.  I have combination skin meaning some of my skin is oily and some is extremely dry and the mask has really helped to even out my skin. My pores are so much smaller and my skin is soft and smooth. I am happy to report that I didn't suffer from any redness or itching as I have with certain masks in the past. 

My husband had a lot of fun trying the Adovia Dead Sea Face Mask out too! He was really surprised once he washed the mask off to see that he had no blackheads on the end of his nose. In a matter of 20 minutes, they were gone! He said the mask was very relaxing to wear and he loved that it didn't make his face feel tight. 

I even let my daughter and son use the Dead Sea Facial Mask as they both have  an issue with blackheads on the tip of their nose and they both loved it. They can't wait until I let them use it again. My son thought it was really cool as he thought it looked liked the camo military face paint. 

One thing I loved about the Adovai Dead Sea Facial Mask besides the fact that it really works and works well, is the fact that it is Made in Israel! If you do your research, you will see that Israel has the best skincare products on the market and I am proud to say that I own one. 

Needless to say, we all had fun having a spa evening in our house while the younger children were playing. We should definitely do this more often. 

After seeing the effects that the Adovia Dead Sea Facial Mask had on myself, my husband, my son and daughter, I would love to own the entire line of products. I know they would be well worth it. I have never really followed much of a skincare routine, but I would definitely set one with these products as would other members of my family.
