The object of this event is to raise donations and awareness of the Lone Survivor Foundation which was started by Marcus Luttrell to ease the healing process for fellow brothers and sisters that have been injured in war or lost fellow brothers and sisters to wartime activities. All donations received will be donated to the Lone Survivor Foundation located at Lone Survivor Foundation 2626 S. Loop W., Ste. 415 Houston, TX 77054 Office (832) 581-3592 Fax (832) 581-3593

This is a Penny War and its intention is to raise awareness and necessary funds through donations to help those that are serving who have been injured in battle to recuperate in an environment of solitude and beauty, where there is a close-knit and understanding support system. A place where the service members and their families could heal together as they all worked through the consequences of war. Every "Penny" you donate will go to Marcus Luttrel and the Lone Survivor Foundation. At the end of this event, which will actually be going from April 1st 2014 until May 1st, 2014, we will pick a winner of one of our "Zombie Apocalypse Kits" from Backwoods Bouquet which includes: a lifetime membership to US ZORT (which includes T-Shirt of your size, two nametapes (one with your ZK# and the other says "US ZORT"), a 4 inch Velcro US ZORT patch, a certificate, business cards), plus you will also receive a box of "Emergency Twinkies" (10 count), brand new "Zombieland" DVD and who knows, there may be even more items, but it all depends on how much we can raise for the LSF. Pretzel Crisp Review

We are a family that loves snacks! Popcorn, chips, cheese and crackers, etc...but one thing we do not care for is pretzels. My husband and I don't care for the taste of them and my children find them to be dry.  I'm always looking for healthier snacks because let's face it, chips and other snack foods are loaded with fats and unhealthy ingredients these days. I have heard alot about Pretzel Crisps but was always afraid to try them because, well, they are pretzels.

Recently I was given the opportunity to review Pretzel Crisps I was pretty excited but also a little hesitant not knowing if it would be something that my family would try. I shocked when this package arrived on my doorstep. I was not at all expecting a sampling of Pretzel Crisps like this. I was thinking more along the lines of one or 2 bags, but the company blew me away. 

As you can clearly see, I received a HUGE assortment of Pretzel Crisps to try out. By this point, I was pretty excited and ready to dig in :) I even received this really neat Pretzel Crisp tote bag too! 

First up, Sesame flavor Pretzel Crisps! I was blown away when I tried these. Not only are they packed full of flavor with little sesame seeds all over, but they are delicious. Not at all what I was expecting with  pretzel. 

What better way than to put them to the test with some cheese! Don't get me wrong, Pretzel Crisps are delicious by themselves but cheese always makes everything better. We finally found a snack that the whole family seems to enjoy! These are my husbands favorite flavor!

I don't know what it was about the Chipotle Cheddar Pretzel Crisps, but they were calling my name from the minute I took them out of the box. This is my absolute favorite flavor and I enjoy these by themselves because they are perfect just the way they are. The cheddar flavor is unbelievable and they have a nice little kick to them from the Chipotle. Definitely my go to snack from now on. 

Everything Pretzel Crisps!!! What can I say about these? They are awesome! If you are looking for a snack that is packed with tons of flavor, then these are for you! With a mixture of garlic, poppy seeds, onion and sesame seeds, these are out of this world! We enjoyed these with cream cheese and they were YUMMY!!!

The Original Flavor was really good too and went well with cream cheese. While it wasn't a favorite of everyone's because it didn't have the pops of flavor that the other ones did, but we all agreed that they were still good. 

Garlic Parmesan is perfect for the garlic lovers! Packed with flavor and a great snack by itself or paired with homemade crab dip. 

Buffalo Wing Flavor is for those that like a lot of kick and spice. This is my daughter's favorite as she loves anything spicy. I thought these were really good too, but I'm still stuck on the Chipotle Cheddar. 

Jalapeno Jack! Cheesy and Spicy! What more can I say? These really din't need anything on them as they are a flavor all by themselves. Caution: Highly Addictive and consuming too many late at night will cause heartburn. These would be my second favorite!

Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper, while these had a nice flavor, I didn't care for these too much, at least not plain. With a little cream cheese,  these were pretty enjoyable. My children had already picked their favorites, so they wouldn't try these. My husband doesn't care for pepper but he said they didn't taste bad at all. 

Honey Mustard and Onion are out of this world! Paired with thinly shaved pieces of Virginia Brand Ham make this the perfect little crunchy sandwich snacks for all occasions. The flavor is unbelievable. This was a huge hit with my family and they kept coming back for more. 

Pretzel Crisps are thin and crispy and make for a very healthy snack. We enjoyed trying them with a variety of different things. While we each had our own favorite flavors once we were said and done, we all agreed that Pretzel Crisps are delicious and not your ordinary, boring pretzel. 

I love that even my kids enjoy this healthy pretzel snack. A big plus for our family is that they all come in resealable, convenient size bags which are perfect for traveling. Whether we are out for a day at the park, going to enjoy Wild Adventures or taking a drive to the beach, I know that I can pack Pretzel Crisps and we will all have a great tasting, healthy snack.

Walking with Dinosaurs The Movie Blu-ray Review

We recently received a copy of Walking with Dinosaurs The Movie to review, as a matter of fact, it arrived on our 15th Wedding Anniversary on March 25th. What a great surprise!!! My 4 year old twin boys love anything to do with Dinosaurs, so you can only imagine how excited they were when they first saw the trailer for Walking with Dinosaurs The Movie. They had to see it and there was no getting around it. So of course, they had to watch it that night for movie night and they loved it. As a matter of fact, our whole family enjoyed it. 

Walking with Dinosaurs The Movie takes you on a journey with a playful Pachyrhinosaurus named Patchi, who will capture your heart while he embarks on the greatest adventure of his life trying to find his place in the world. 

My thoughts:

Walking with Dinosaurs The Movie is a wonderful story with breathtaking scenery that definitely captures everyone's attention from the youngest child to the oldest adult.  The animations are top of the line and the most realistic I have seen in a while. Not only is it a great educational movie for children to learn all about dinosaurs from all of the different species, it also helps them learn very easily how to pronounce them too. It definitely had it's touching moments but also had a lot of action and humor too. 

Definitely a must see movie for all Dinosaur fans.

We have always had a mirror in our shower since we have been married. Why? Because my husband loves to shave while he is in the shower. Aspen Ridge Sports "Vertical Tactical Foregrip" Review

Well, while I can't speak for the millions around the world, I can speak for myself and I love being able to transform my firearms to the way that suits me best. One of the items that I have modified my firearm with is a "Aspen Ridge Sports Vertical Tactical ForeGrip". I had a regular foregrip from Wal-Mart on my AR-15 before I received this one for review. I was lucky that we were chosen for the review because had I not come across this new foregrip, I may not have found the comfort and durability that I was looking for.

Sure, there are multitudes of foregrip assemblies on the market, and each foregrip has it's own validity of why it should be used, but Aspen Ridge Sports has designed a foregrip that meets and exceeds necessity for your tactical upgrade. This foregrip is ergonomically designed for both, right and left handed users as well as individuals that may have some medical disabilities within their hands. The grip itself is very durable and easily transfers from one position to another with the push a very good sized button at the top/side of the grip. If you suffer from arthritis or other debilitating hand issues, this button will make your shooting experience much more enjoyable because instead of taking time to maneuver the button to assist you in shooting, it is a quick push, select spot desired and continue shooting when you hear it click into place.

This is a great idea and why I said that Aspen Ridge Sports covered every aspect of our needs while out shooting. This bubble that I speak of is actually a hidden compartment within the foregrip itself. If you have a laser, red dot sight, or tactical flashlight, then you can continue on your shoot knowing that you have spare batteries in case you lose power in your current battery.

There are also 5 separate settings that you can adjust the foregrip to so that you are comfortable during your shooting. In these photos below, I show each position. If you notice, the foregrip also has smooth sides and these sides are specifically designed for tactical light/laser pressure switches.
